ANAFAE

The National Association for the Promotion of Organic Agriculture (ANAFAE) defends the economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights (DESCA) of the Honduran people, protecting land, water, forests, seeds, culture, and territories. We oppose extractivism and neocolonialism in all its forms: ZEDES, mining concessions, REDD+, the green economy, and oil contracts that threaten ecosystems and communities. We promote food sovereignty and the right to decent food as the basis of life and social justice.

We work in 14 areas of the country through 23 member organizations and strengthen the Honduran Fishing Network in 25 coastal municipalities. Through public campaigns, we demand the repeal of the 2013 oil contract and highlight its risks to sovereignty, the environment, and food security.
