The environmental coalition of the eastern Dominican Republic is made up of civil society organizations from the cities of Romana, Higuey, Hatomayor, Miches, Bayaguana, Quisqueya, Bavaro, Punta Cana, El Seybo, and San Pedro de Macorís. It was founded in 2018, has one representative per locality, with an executive committee made up of 8 members, and works on environmental monitoring and management. It keeps records of the different environmental impacts in the region and works together with INSAPROMA, CNLCC, the Academy of Science, and the environmental department of the UASD. We work permanently with the Ministry of the Environment and participate in national and international events.
