MISIÓN 1.5
Misión 1.5 (formerly Misión 2 Grados) is a Costa Rican non-profit organization that has been working since 2018 to support the country’s climate commitments under the Paris Agreement, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, the National Climate Change Strategy, and Nationally Determined Contributions. Its work focuses on raising awareness and mobilizing citizens, promoting more ambitious policies and laws, and training youth climate leaders through the development of technical and political knowledge to strengthen their advocacy.
In addition to raising awareness and training more than 11,000 people across the country on climate change, Mission 1.5 is a co-founder of the Costa Rica Free of Drilling movement and has developed multiple projects with young people that combine climate education, empowerment, and active participation, with a focus on gender and human rights.
