Red Thread works raising awareness on how bad oil drilling is for our environment and our communities. We do radio programmes and workshops/ discussions in communities as it relates to oil, making people understand that Guyana has lots of oil and yet people cannot pay bills, house rents, or send their children to school. We try to convey how climate change can affect us.

We work against all forms of violence be it domestic, racial, state, sexual, economic and environmental violence; as well as violence against the elderly and disabled. We campaign to win affordable access for goods and services, and a strong political voice for grassroots people.
